Bob is a seasoned intellectual property attorney and business executive with over 30 years in-house experience either as a scientist or as in-house IP counsel in both large and small pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Bob applies the powerful combination of his in-house legal experience, scientific knowledge and strategic business perspective to help small, mid-sized and large pharma, biotech and medical device/diagnostic companies address Intellectual Property, Hatch-Waxman Regulations, Agreements, IP Due Diligence, Trademarks and IP Litigation Support in a practical, no-nonsense and cost efficient manner.
Bob has served as Vice President and Chief IP Counsel for a mid-sized biopharmaceutical company and as an Intellectual Property Attorney for a multi-billion dollar large pharmaceutical company. He currently serves as a Consulting IP Counsel for small to mid-sized pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Bob is also a co-founder and Chief IP Counsel for Pharmidable Legal Advisors, LLC, which provides creative, cutting-edge pharma/bio/device/diagnostic related life-cycle-management services to significantly increase IP and regulatory exclusivity value.
Bob earned his doctoral degree in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from the University of Connecticut. He also served a post-doctoral fellowship in Pharmacology/Biochemistry at Yale University School of Medicine and earned a law degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law (evening division). Bob has been a member of the North Carolina Bar since 1998, the Pennsylvania Bar since 2010 and a member of the United States Patent and Trademark Office Bar as a Patent Agent since 1992 and as a Patent Attorney since 2000. Prior to his admission to the Patent Bar, Bob held various roles as a scientist in academics and the pharmaceutical industry.
